A Weekend on the farm...

A Weekend on the farm...

This weekend was full of projects. Some got finished, and some got started. Isn't that the way it goes sometimes? Lavender was harvested and I am currently enjoying a small bouquet on my nightstand. I personally love the smell of lavender and find it refreshing. Dill and a variety of mints went into to dehydrator as well. The greenhouse is pumping out mint, strawberries and more these days. Sometimes I find it hard to get everything dehydrated so I tend to focus on one or two plants at a time.

Saturday morning was the Wabash Farmers Market where the weather was a little cooler at times with the breeze, but it was a lovely day. This weekend seemed to be a FLIPPIN' GOOD weekend, so we will be busy replenishing stock for next weekend. Speaking of next weekend... it's Father's Day weekend! Middle of June! My goodness where has the year gone already?

Saturday afternoon and Sunday were spent working around the farm on projects. One of them being cleaning out the barn and power washing the floor. After "work" we decided it was a nice night for a walk. Rooster and I walked together it was a very nice stroll through our neck of the woods. We never really talk much on our walks as it is more of a sightseeing adventure, but it is quiet time that we enjoy together.

Well, I better wrap this up for now... I am going to be making instant oatmeal packets today. They are nice to have for breakfast when I am not in the mood at 4 a.m. to be frying eggs LOL. Maybe your family would like to try our oatmeal packets? Let me know if this is something we should offer. I use organic oats, homemade brown sugar, freshly ground cinnamon, and apples from the local orchard...

Take care, and remember to live a simple life.
